FEA Investigation of Elastic Buckling for Functionally Graded Material (FGM) Thin Plates with Different Hole Shapes under Uniaxial Loading

In this paper, an investigation of linear eigenvalue buckling functionally graded material (FGM) plates under uniaxial loading is carried out. The computer model analyzed using the finite element (FE) package ABAQUS. An analysis out to study effect size and geometry openings in FGM plate on critical load. circular, square, diamond vary based ratio opening diameter width plate. Moreover, aspect (width thickness) load examined. Further, power law index behavior investigated. results show that increase reduces lower index, higher shape shows best performance terms load, thickness has a more significant influence compared opening.
